In addition to the regular groups the Village Hall is a popular venue for celebrations and fund raising events.

The Village Bar remains popular and is open Fridays 4-11pm, Saturdays 12noon to 11pm and Sundays 12noon to 9pm Lorna Wheeler took over running the bar at the beginning of March 2014 and is not only doing a great job keeping many of the regular drinkers but attracting new people to the bar although takings for the year are a little down over last year. New flooring behind the bar has also been fitted and Lorna has invested in a large screen TV to show major sporting events. New seats covers have been fitted to the bar stools.
The bar is also available for private functions. A full sized snooker table is available in the games area as well as a darts board.

Expenditure on the Village Hall continues to increase with utility charges for light and heat ever escalating and continual maintenance and cleaning. Improvements to the hall have been made with the outside of the hall being repainted and necessary pointing work done to the end gable. New signage has been erected at the entrance, the brook has been cleared and a smoking shelter provided. The downstairs toilets and committee room have been repainted and a new carpet fitted in the games room and redecorated. Free Wi-Fi has been installed and there is now a hearing loop in the main hall. A new Fire and Heat detection system for the whole building has been installed to increase the safety of all users. Five new 6 foot tables have been purchased as well as a new microwave, pots and pans and knives for the kitchen. We are grateful to the Chipping Campden Community Trust for providing funds for a new table tennis table for the Youth Club and in funding a computer for use in the Hall.

The Village Hall can only continue with your support and help. The charity is now registered for Gift Aid so any donations are worth 25% more if you are a taxpayer. Please use the many activities that are available. Think about using the Village Hall for your own events and pop in and have a drink with Lorna. If there is an activity that you can help with which is not currently available then please let us know.
